this lovely singapore-based family decided to spend new years in new zealand, and chose me to do their holiday portraits while they were here! so we headed out to karekare for some beach adventures. despite being (in their words) “very urbanised”, they adjusted well to the endless miles of sand, bush, dunes and big surf, and we had a fun afternoon together

yesterday was the real first break in the past week of rain, so we grabbed the opportunity to head to shakespear regional park for tea & family pics 🙂

(sneak peek here) another pre-christmas session on a beautiful evening down at shakespear park resulted in the following pictures (and many more). we began with a take-away dinner of pizzas (excellent suggestion robyn) and then the family got changed while i prepared my gear.

i have to do a big vote of thanks to this family for being so gorgeous that it made my job easy! the girls were delightful and so excited to be at the beach and loved climbing around on the trees and posts, and running in the long grass. we are fortunate to live in such a beautiful city!
