hugh met radda during a stay in thailand, and they fell in love – but then came several years of separation as hugh returned to his native australia to complete his studies, and then moved new zealand for work; and radda awaited her visa in thailand. he visited her as often as he could, but they both longed for the day they could be together for ever.
and that day has come! it was a real privilege to photograph this wonderful couple whose love has already withstood the double tests of time and distance, tests which even alone often prove too much for less-committed couples. here’s some faves from their wedding day…
rosaria was one of the bridesmaids for nono & yoppe’s wedding, and she liked the photos so much that when her turn came to be married she chose me for her photographer. they had a very colourful and vibrant wedding, with a traditional shona african processional dance, (cheeky) beautifully-dressed children and gorgeous multi-coloured costumes on most of the guests – loads of fun to photograph! here’s a few pics…
