now there are six… 27 apr ’14

Sunday, April 27th, 2014

this family have been my friends for many years, and back in 2009 i photographed them soon after the birth of their fifth child. this time – baby number six has arrived, and now they have a matched set of three girls and three boys 🙂

the great thing about so many children is that there is basically an unlimited number of ways to photograph them! so we had great fun – but also had to be mindful of baby’s tolerance levels. therefore he doesn’t appear in some of the last photos – he was having a snack!

here’s my top picks 🙂

Tuesday, April 8th, 2014

just a quick shoot for Happy Pawes Dog Daycare & Training‘s owner Kelly, and one of her furry companions – and their dog! hehe sorry, couldn’t resist – but that joke would have worked much better if Kelly’s partner had a beard!

lovely evening light – such a photogenic family!

all about smudge… 26 mar ’14

Wednesday, March 26th, 2014

dear Smudge belonged to Nancy Cate of KnowledgeTree Transformational Healing. he was a much-loved resident of Nancy’s home clinic – and as can be seen in these photos, he had become very much a senior citizen.

due to Smudge’s fragility, the session was very short and low-key. and when it was over, Smudge went to his bowl for a much-earned snack! here’s my faves…

our animal companions reach the end of their time with us long before we are ready for them to go. sadly, Smudge passed away not many weeks after these photos were taken. he is greatly missed! i feel privileged to have been able to make these photographs for Nancy to keep.
