wow – the light this afternoon down at the beach was a location photographer’s dream: open shade with lots of reflection from the pale sand, and clear sunny skies overhead. but even perfect light didn’t quite manage to steal the show from this gorgeous wee girl’s cornflower blue eyes (eyes which her baby brother also shares!)

this was one occasion that i was glad an earlier photo session had to be cancelled for bad weather – because it took place yesterday instead; and we couldn’t have had better weather for it! we were on the beautiful north shore at the beach in the early evening, with one of my favourite families – and here’s the result…
